Childs Dream Educational Village in Mae Sot, Thailand

Since 2023 PD Foundation has partnered with Child's Dream, who exist to ensure children and young adults in the Mekong sub-region, affected by inequality, grow up to be healthy and have access to quality education and better employment opportunities. The first project we have partnered with Child's Dream on is the building of an Education Village in Mae Sot, Thailand, which opened in July 2024. A new school building for the BSHOH school was built to provide a safe and happy place for migrant children from Myanmar to learn. Over 550 children are now enjoying learning in the school and 30 boarding children are living in the adjoining dormitory, which was built to provide a home for refugee children needing somewhere to live.
In 2025 PD Foundation is proud to work with Child's Dream to support Phase 2 of the project, which will house the two educational programmes of Education for Friendship Foundation. These programmes focus on the further education of refugee students from Myanmar, to obtain a recognized High School qualification and preparation for employment.
